I am an Assistant Professor of Communication, Journalism, and Film and Public Health at The College of New Jersey. I am a persuasion, quantitative, and health/risk communication scholar interested in understanding how well-designed messages can shape people’s perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors.

I believe that a well-designed persuasive message could make today’s world better than yesterday’s. My research focuses on understanding how persuasive communication can be designed and evaluated to promote health and well-being.

I am also passionate about teaching and have taught various courses, including human communication, intercultural communication, methods of communication inquiry, health communication, and interpersonal communication.

I continuously develop my methodological toolkit for research, including statistical methods for data analysis (e.g., multilevel modeling and meta-analysis) and physiological and behavioral technologies (e.g., eye-tracking and galvanic skin response).
